First Netball Lesson

On Thursday  we had netball training with one of the netball trainers. Before we started our warm up, Fiona  ask us who played netball for school or who  plays  for a  netball team. She asked us if we knew ways to pass in netball.First we started with our warm up. We jogged all the way to the fence and  we were running on our sides. We had to pick a partner and I  was with Jnardy. We were doing friendly passes and then we did fire passes. My favourite part was when we had to get in to two groups and pass the ball round to each other. It was my favourite because everyone in my group was having fun and we were working as a team. Our first netball training was awesome.

Thinking Of A New Password

Today I am  going to think about  a new password  for my Google account. I want a new password  so other people don’t go on my drive and copy and paste my  work and put my work on their drive. I also like the idea of changing my password so I don’t get cyber-bullied on the internet and I can be cyber-safe.

Cleaning At Eden Park

On Sunday my church went to Eden Park to pick up the rubbish that was left outside and inside the stadium. Our church members  were trying to clean it all up. There was a lot of rubbish and bottles. Some bottles hadn’t  even been opened!
After we picked up the rubbish we had to go and put the rubbish bags in the truck. When we finished that we went back home and had a big feed.
That was a  job well done.

My year seven and eight team did well and we came fourth out of sixteen teams.

Next Week We Are Going To Have Fun

On Wednesday we went to tech and we learnt how to make pewter jewellery with Mr Grundy. We had to find a chair to sit on. Mr Grundy gave us some simple safety rules to follow. He told us to not go past the yellow line, and to always stay one metre back when he is using the machines. He showed us how to  make  jewellery with a piece of wood and pewter. We had to listen very hard because there were a lot of steps.

He showed us who he was making it for and why. He also demonstrated how to make  the pewter jewellery. Next we watched a video clip of Mr Grundy making the pewter  jewellery and polishing it. We needed to write our names on our own MDF. We had to turn our drawing over and roughly mark where our drawing was on the paper. The pencil needed to be used on the back of our final drawing and then we placed the MDF under the drawing.

Next week we  might start to make  some jewellery. Before we start we have to decide  who we are making it for and why we are making it for them. The first one I want to make is going to be for my mum because she is the first one on my list. We also need to remember most of  the instructions. If we remember then we won’t need to go through them again and can get on with our work. Mr Grundy’s video will be helpful. Everyone enjoyed watching the video. Next week we are going to have fun.
